This weather station is located at Dell Quay, Chichester Harbour. Sensors measure wind speed and direction, air pressure, rain fall, humidity and temperature, with the data being uploaded to our website every 5 minutes. Manufactured by Davis Instruments, readings are provided with a general accuracy of ±5% for wind, ±1°C for temp and ±2mb for pressure.
No two weather station installations are the same and sensor location is often the result of a compromise. Due to security considerations, our temperature sensor is located at a height of 3m rather than the standard 1.25m; there may therefore be a slight variation if comparing our readings with others locally.
